While here at CGA, I am apprenticing at Adventures in Missions in the Beauty for Ashes department. Beauty for Ashes is an amazing women's ministry that focuses on empowering women in their identity in Christ through vulnerability and story sharing. If you want to read more about all they are doing and upcoming ministry opportunities, click here.ย

In the past I have been blessed with amazing jobs, coworkers, and bosses. Throughout high school and after I returned from the race, I worked at a lovely quilting shop in Texas called Stitched with Love. It was great. I sold pretty fabrics, assisted customers, and occasionally helped with children's sewing camps.

Coming in to apprentice at AIM, I was curious how the environment would be. AIM is a christian missions organization... so did that mean we pray and talk about Jesus often at work? Or is work just work? I'm quickly learning that Jesus is in everything.

Every Monday we have staff worship and it sets the tone for the week. My boss schedules weekly one-on-ones with me to check in and ask if I need prayer. We start and end staff meetings in prayer. At the same time, I am pushed to grow and take on new projects. It has been amazing and I am already experiencing growth.

I have realized that in the past, it has been my tendency to separate my relationship with Jesus from my work life. I think this is a trap many of us fall into. But again, Jesus is in everything. Not only does he want to be known and present in christian organizations, but in offices and workplaces around the world.ย

Now, maybe it isn't practical for your workplace to have hour and a half worship every week when many of them aren't even believers. Perhaps it starts with praying for your co-workers during lunch, taking prayer requests, or even just sharing your faith and your story. God wants to move, and He will move. All we have to do is let Him.

*Prayer requests!

I have a financial deadline coming up and am in need of $700 to reach it. Please prayerfully consider partnering with God's plan in this journey of launching me onto the international mission field long-term to bring kingdom. Every amount is greatly appreciated, and I fully trust that the Lord will provide for His will to be done. If you would like more info or just want to chat, let me know! (:

Blessings!!
